"...his giant wings keep him from walking."

"...his giant wings keep him from walking." - (mid last sentence from a quote) - Baudelaire

Curly is the ninth piggy in a family of eleven. He had a single strand of hair on his forehead that perpetually stayed curled up like the crescent moon. His momma lovingly named him Moony but as he was darker than all of his siblings, he was nicknamed darky, and on a good day called curly. Now curly was always fascinated by the moon, somehow felt a strange kinship with him, having born with a special natural crescent on his forehead... Every night he would gaze in to the sky for hours, longing so much to fly out there, and say hello and shake moon's hand. And it so happened one day the man on the moon came down and asked the curly if he would like to fly out there...And Of course Curly was beyond thrilled. But before Curly could jump up and down and blurt "OH YES!", the man on the moon warned him, "but piggy, your wings will have to be so giant in order to fly up to the moon, that you may never be able to walk on the earth, Ok?" Hmmm, now Curly loved his family very much, and especially his momma, and he always felt especially proud walking next to her when his momma took him to truffle sniffing. "no walking ever?" asked the piggy, "nope, but you can fly as low as the over hanging clouds in the monsoon..." said the man on the moon. Curly twirled his crescent over and over trying to choose, between his love of family and flying, he thought and thought, he twirled and twirled, for a day and two nights. Finally, yes, you guessed it right, the little piggy chose not to FLY, not ever, not to have the giant wings that keep him from walking next to his momma, and he never told a soul about the visit from man on the moon...
